This week, we look at the sterner stuff that a courageous church is made of. But perhaps the question needs to be asked - does the church really need to be courageous? What kind of church work demands boldness and bravery? And what would a church look like if it didn't have courage?

When the Lord looks at us, He longs to see a church that's fervent in the Spirit. That's you and I zealous in prayer, in love and in faith. There is tepid and half-heartedness, and then there is ardent and passionate. We get to choose what kind of church we become.

As a church, we aren't just called to have the right theological thoughts about God. We are called towards fidelity, to stand for Him and with Him, to pitch our flag where the Lord is. We are called to be a loyal church. Let's deep-dive into what a loyal church looks like.

What kind of church does God want on the ground in Sg Buloh? He wants a Set-Apart church, a church dedicated to Him; distinct, special and sacred. This week, we take the first step, as a church, towards entering our home in Sg Buloh.

This week, our beloved nation turned fifty-eight. Even so, the story of God's goodness over our land begins further back. Let us remember the Lord's love for our land, so we can find our place in it today.

We are so blessed to have Pr Lindy share with us her favourite chapter of the Bible, Philippians 3! Yes, that's the famous chapter where Paul encourages us to forget what lies behind us and to press on towards the upward call of Jesus! It's a rare and special treat.

Ezekiel - the last page. There is talk of land, inheritance and family fortunes, veiled commentary about faithfulness, belonging and second chances. It ends with a shot of the city, called 'Yahweh Is There'. Fade to black. Fade in: A new city descends from new heavens. Land, inheritance, family and God's people received their forever home.

Chapter 47. Water flows from the temple out of the gate. Ezekiel follows its trail and the water rises, from an ankle-swash till a river-deep full swim. And wherever it goes, life follows. Now, some 400 years plus later, Jesus said something very similar - something about springs of living water. Is he talking about the same thing?

After God's glory returns to the temple, a certain 'prince' follows suit. Who is he? And why has he come? A few new parameters come into play too - something about Zadok. Wait, wasn't he a priest during King David's reign? What has Zadok to do with Ezekiel's prophesy? So much intrigue. Don't miss this because it might just have something to do with you!

Chapter 40-43. An angel of the Lord takes Ezekiel through a temple. They measure the dimensions of everything. And then it happens. The glory of God returns. How should we read this perplexing span of chapters? Is the temple a future thing for us to await? Or is it a metaphor for us, as temples of the Holy Spirit? Come to weigh out the views and get a touch from God.
